Bohler WEARstick Tool 60 (Tool Steels) Stick Electrodes
Rutile coated high efficiency stick electrode for high speed tool steels with high weld metal hardness, hardness: approx. 62 HRC, specifically engineered to build up cutting edges and working surfaces that must withstand severe mechanical strain. Primary applications such as tool repair - building up worn cutting edges, milling cutters, punching tools, and dies. New tool production - cladding non-alloy or low-alloy base metals to create cost-effective high-performance cutting edges. Thermal resistance - Maintaining structural integrity and wear resistance at elevated temperatures up to 550°C.
Features
- Engineered with a specialised rutile flux coating that ensures excellent arc stability and minimal spatter.
- Produces a smooth, finely rippled bead appearance, reducing the amount of post-weld grinding or machining needed.
- Self-releasing or very easy slag removal, which saves time during multi-pass welding.
- Allows for smooth operational control across multiple welding positions.

- Hardness (As Welded): Approximately 62 HRC out of the box.
- Hardness (Heat Treated): Can achieve 64–66 HRC after hardening (at 1180–1240°C) and tempering (twice at 550°C).
- Soft Annealing: Approximately 25 HRC (at 800–840°C)
